Florida-based healthcare provider Solantic announced today it has acquired Prima Vista Walk-In Medical. This is Solantic’s first Treasure Coast location, and 18th center in Florida, with a second clinic scheduled to open in Vero Beach in September.

“We are excited about the opportunity to take the great care and service provided at this well established clinic and add to it,” said Karen Bowling, Solantic CEO. “Not only will Solantic expand service offerings and hours, the center will be updated to include a menu board and other technology designed to enhance the patient experience.”

The 3,100 sq. ft. facility — located right off US-1 and Prima Vista Blvd., at 784 E Prima Vista Blvd. — has five exam rooms and a lab. Digital X-ray will be added. The center is staffed by board-certified physicians and is open extended hours. Services include urgent care, treatments for injured workers, and a range of wellness services for individuals and companies including immunizations, blood work and physicals. Patients can be treated for illnesses and injuries from the common cold to a broken bone with no appointment. Solantic contracts with all major insurance plans, and treats children 6 months and older.

The Prima Vista Clinic opened in 1981 and has been operated by Sylvia Mendoza since 1996. Mendoza’s clinic has focused on providing worker’s compensation and occupational medicine services.

Solantic’s growth strategy, spurred by a $100 million commitment from Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in July 2007, includes plans for 40 centers in Florida by 2009 and 1,000 centers nationwide in the next few years.
