Next fall flu shot clinics may start popping up in new places, including schools. If everyone the federal panel recommended gets vaccinated, as many as 30 million more Americans would need flu shots next winter. Despite that, the state Health Department thinks there’ll be enough vaccine to meet the needs. She says the main concern is making flu shots more convenient, so more people get their kids vaccinated. In addition to schools, that could mean extra walk-in clinics at pediatricians’ offices, and a bigger role for non traditional sites such as MinuteClinic and clinics at Target stores.
